Grinding Technology Research Engineer 磨削研發工程師

Objective of the Position / 崗位目標
Carry out projects that support regional businesses aligning with global processes, leading to advancement of surface preparation technology and products.
Principal Accountabilities ( % of time, Responsibility)/ 主要職責(時間占比、工作職責)
1. (5%) Comply with the related EHS laws and SGRS policies; understand the lab specificities related to MSDS, Risk Assessment, SOP LOTO and PPE usage; Have a sense for the manufacturing and machine operation and other aspects related to smooth operations.
2. (40%) Lead internal research projects in CGTC: ?
A: Study the performance of the grinding system (abrasives, work piece, grinder, grinding parameters). Use skills like modeling, statistical analysis, digital skills, etc to build test methods that simulate customer applications. Develop a deeper technical understanding of application of Abrasive systems for Surface Preparation of Materials (High speed grinding, Superprecision grinding, Steel conditioning, sanding & polishing, robotic grinding, etc.).
B: Manage the R&D project (conforming to the budget, timeline) and update the progress to the management level.?
3. (30%) Lead external collaborative research projects:
Lead projects with external collaborators like Universities, Research Institutes, OEMs and end customers. The objective is to target development of strategic and tactical, medium and long term competencies for CGTC that helps Saint-Gobain Abrasives (SGA) APAC and WW to develop key strengths needed to cater to the emerging market opportunities.?
4. (15%) Actively develop skills through self-learning, training and other efficient and effective avenues. Utilize these skills to address the project needs and also to train and develop the talent pool within CGTC, global GTC and SGA APAC.?
